GEOPARK FESTIVAL - Street Art Fossils

26 - 27 May 2018

Torre Abbey

Use Devon soils to draw Devonian fossils. Coloured pastels have been hand made from local materials including Watcombe Clay, Bovey Clay and charcoal. Choose a fossil and draw it straight on to the ground where it came form. Artist David Harbott will be talking about fossils as a clue to helping us understand geological time-scales and how that relates to current climate. Hand made pavement pastels are provided. We will be using the handling collection from Torquay Museum as primary source material.
This is a family drop in session for 3 years plus.
