Dawn Chorus & Spring Arrivals

Berry Head National Nature Reserve

Join local bird expert Mike Langman at Berry Head and nature reserve for a dawn chorus. The headland and woodlands should be alive with bird song including many of our summer migrants just back from a winter in Africa all desperately announcing their territories and hoping to attract a mate. Mike will guide you through the sequence of songs helping you to pick out the many different, but sometimes confusingly similar songs. The very best time to hear bird song is at sunrise, so it will be an early start. This event is part of the International Dawn Chorus Day. The event will be finished off with a delicious breakfast at the Guardhouse Cafe. Breakfast includes the full English breakfast & a tea or coffee.

Time: 5.30am - 8.30am
